The basics

Achey is a personal health diary for tracking migraines and related symptoms, developed and operated from Denmark. By using Achey, you agree to these terms.

Not medical advice

We know how much migraines affect your life, and we want to help you keep track. But Achey is a tracking tool, not a medical device. The information you log, the patterns you see, and any AI-generated summaries are for your personal reference only - they are not medical analysis, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations. Always talk to a healthcare professional about your health.

Your account

Achey uses passwordless login - we send a magic link to your email each time you sign in. That means your email account is the key to your Achey account.

  • Keep your email account secure - it's how you access Achey
  • One account per person
  • You must be at least 13 years old to use Achey. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed these terms.
  • If you lose access to your email, we cannot recover your account on your behalf

Your data

You own your data. Full stop. We provide tools to export your data as PDF and to delete everything. Any AI processing of your data happens locally in our Danish datacenter - your health data never leaves Denmark for processing. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your information.

AI summaries

Achey can generate monthly summaries of your migraine patterns using AI. Here's what you should know:

  • The AI runs locally in our Danish datacenter - your data is never sent to external AI services
  • Summaries are informational, not diagnostic - they highlight patterns, not medical conclusions
  • You can regenerate a summary if the result doesn't seem right
  • The AI doesn't learn from your individual data or build a profile of you

Service availability

We aim to keep Achey running smoothly, but we can't guarantee 100% uptime. Occasionally we need to pause for maintenance or updates - we'll try to give advance notice when possible. During any downtime, your data remains safe.

Fair use

A few ground rules to keep Achey working well for everyone:

  • Don't use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access Achey
  • Don't scrape or systematically download data from the service
  • Don't share your account with others - each person needs their own
  • Don't use Achey for anything unlawful

Our responsibility

We build Achey with care and work to keep it reliable and accurate. However, to the extent permitted by applicable law, our liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of Achey is limited. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for fraud, gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or personal injury caused by our negligence. Achey is a tracking tool - your health decisions should always involve a qualified professional.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Danish law. If you are a consumer in the EU, you retain any mandatory consumer protection rights granted by the laws of your country of residence. Disputes may be brought before the Danish courts, though EU consumers may also bring claims in the courts of their country of residence.

Danish consumers can submit complaints to Center for Klagelosning (naevneneshus.dk) or the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform (ec.europa.eu/odr).

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. For material changes - such as those affecting your rights, your data, or our liability - we will give you at least 30 days' notice via email before they take effect. If you do not agree with the changes, you may close your account before the new terms take effect. Continuing to use Achey after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.

Closing your account

You can delete your account and all your data at any time from your settings. We may suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly violate these terms. Before closing your account, we will notify you and explain the reason, giving you a reasonable opportunity to address the issue - unless the violation involves illegal activity or poses a safety risk. If your account is closed, you will have 30 days to export your data before it is deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
